Earlier Friday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of North Carolina-based Capital Consultants, LLC sent a follow-up e-mail to his contact at the firm regarding the non-disclosure agreement encompassing 4 inventions that he’s sent him for signature a week ago. We’d reported on Capital Consultants selecting the trio of product ideas for further review and the subsequent e-mailing of the confidentiality agreement in a January 22nd entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1349).

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest report. Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of AAPEX Show 2009 exhibitor Trillium Worldwide, Inc. prepared and sent his contact at the firm preliminary, non-confidential information on 10 product ideas from our roster.

As per the company’s previously stated preferences in a December 17th e-mail (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1364), the batch consisted of a wide cross-section of product categories, including household, fitness, and lawn and garden items. Trillium Worldwide distributes products through catalogs, television, retail, and direct mail, making them a well-rounded company with distribution capabilities for a variety of markets.

Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the interest in a pet-related ATV accessory being displayed by Kolpin Outdoors, Inc. received feedback via e-mail from his contact at the firm regarding their evaluation of the detailed design information about the invention. As per the e-mail communication received this afternoon, the manufacturer has opted not to pursue the commercialization of the invention further. Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first update for a Wednesday. Earlier today, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Full Circle Home received a signed non-disclosure agreement for 3 inventions from their latest package that they’d taken an advanced level of interest in. We had just reported on our follow-up efforts with this company regarding the NDA in an entry yesterday.

As a result of the NDA being returned, access to all of the detailed design information available for the trio of concepts was sent to the manufacturer. Hello, Juan C. Earlier Tuesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the interest displayed by Minnesota-based Cambridge Metal and Plastics in a pet-related ATV accessory from our roster sent his contact at the firm a follow-up e-mail regarding the detailed design information on the invention that they have been evaluating since that date.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on a situation we’d last reported about in a January 19th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1358). Earlier Tuesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of our West Coast-based industry partner received feedback from him via e-mail regarding the detailed design information on 9 pet inventions he’d gained access to a week ago.

As per the communication received Tuesday afternoon, 1 out of the 9 product ideas is of further interest. Our industry partner made inquiries as to whether the invention is prototyped and/or in at least patent pending status, and our aforementioned colleague was able to confirm that the inventor is in the process of working towards both. This information was promptly relayed to our industry partner via e-mail.

Hello, Juan C. Earlier Monday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of AAPEX Show 2009 exhibitor Central Tools, Inc. received an e-mail reply from his contact at the firm regarding his request for an update on their evaluation of the preliminary, non-confidential information Licensing Direct™ had sent them on 5 product ideas in their initial package.

As per the communication received, the manufacturer is not interested in going any further with any of the 5 inventions in the package. We will continue to pursue licensing success on behalf of these concepts and will also prepare a new group of product ideas for Central Tools as soon as possible.
