Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest report. Earlier Friday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of California-based DDR Group sent yet another follow-up e-mail to his contact at the firm requesting his feedback on the preliminary, non-confidential information on 8 inventions that he’d sent him back in late June. We’d last reported on our follow-up attempts with this company in an August 31st entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1219).

As we’d explained in that posting, we had attempted to contact DDR Group by both telephone and e-mail on that date. This followed multiple e-mail follow-ups sent in the weeks following the initial presentation of the invention material. We are hopeful that this most recent attempt on our end will prove successful and will update you on all relevant developments, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Check in often!

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives feedback from Allstar Marketing Group, LLC regarding kitchen accessory that was subject of exclusive developmental licensing agreement…

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest report. Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of New York-based Allstar Marketing Group, LLC received feedback from his contact at the firm regarding the kitchen accessory from our roster that is presently the subject of an exclusive developmental licensing agreement. We’d last reported on this invention in a September 25th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1244).

As per the communication received, Allstar Marketing will not go any further with the attempted commercialization of the product idea. We will continue our licensing efforts on behalf of this product and will also soon begin work on the next batch of concepts to send to Allstar.

Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Ohio-based Fitness Quest, Inc. received feedback from his contact at the firm regarding the detailed information they’d been reviewing on 7 inventions from their latest package. We’d last reported on this company in an October 2nd entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1266).

As per the communication received, the company is only interested in potentially going forward with 1 out of the 7 product ideas they looked over. They will provide a decision on that one concept in the near future and in the interim, work will begin on their next Innovation Direct™ package.

Update: Licensing Direct™ sends second follow-up e-mail to ShopBistro regarding pending review of NDA…

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest report. Earlier Tuesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of ERA member company ShopBistro sent a follow-up e-mail to his contact at the firm regarding their long overdue feedback on our version of a non-disclosure agreement. We’d last reported on this company in an August 31st posting (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1222).

As we’d explained in that entry and previous ones regarding this company, they had selected 5 out of the 10 inventions in their initial Innovation Direct™ package for further review. The process had stalled once the NDA was sent, as our ShopBistro contact had informed us at the time that her company’s legal department would have to review the document and approve the signing of it. As of this writing we have yet to receive any update, hence our communication earlier today.

Licensing Direct™ continues follow-up with AAPEX Show 2009 exhibitors; Astro Pneumatic Tools receptive to joining Innovation Direct™ program…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, here with another update regarding our follow-up efforts with AAPEX Show 2009 exhibitors. Earlier Tuesday, Licensing Direct™ representatives continued to send e-mails to fellow participants from the show regarding our dynamic new product idea subscription service for manufacturers, Innovation Direct™. Today’s correspondences focused on companies that our trade show representatives had personally met with at their respective booths during the event.

We are pleased to report that one outfit, California-based Astro Pneumatic Tools, has already responded and professed an interest in reviewing product ideas from Licensing Direct™ on an ongoing basis. The manufacturer contact emphasized that they have worked with inventors and their agents several times in the past, and that they are sensitive to the need to operate under confidentiality.

As per their official website, Astro has been in business for over 35 years and boasts multiple product lines that include air accessories, hand tools, paint and body accessories for vehicles, and shop equipment, just to name a few. We look forward to a successful relationship with this established manufacturer and will continue to provide updates on all developments regarding them, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog.

Update: Licensing Direct™ prepares, sends 9 invention Innovation Direct™ package to Kellogg Garden Products after receiving long-awaited non-disclosure agreement for review…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest report. Earlier Monday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of National Hardware Show 2009 exhibitor Kellogg Garden Products finally received a sample of their non-disclosure agreement for review. We had last reported on this company in an August 28th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1208).

As we’d explained in that posting, Kellogg Garden had been of the National Hardware Show 2009 exhibitors that had responded to our Innovation Direct™ e-mail campaign targeted at the event’s participants. They had agreed to send us a copy of their confidentiality agreement but there had been a delay in receiving that document until today, when our aforementioned colleague sent a follow-up e-mail regarding the matter. Once the agreement was received, it was determined that it was adequately suited for Licensing Direct to submit invention information under.

Accordingly, our colleague promptly prepared and sent preliminary, non-confidential information on 9 concepts from our roster via e-mail to the Kellogg contact. We are glad to finally initiate the relationship between our companies and look forward to what we hope will be prompt and positive feedback from the manufacturer.

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with our latest report. Earlier Friday, Licensing Direct™ representatives began the task of sending e-mails touting our Innovation Direct™ program to exhibitors from the AAPEX Show 2009.

As we do with every trade show we participate in, Licensing Direct™ sends correspondence touting the many benefits of our dynamic new product idea “subscription service” for manufacturers and marketers to a large number of the exhibitors from the event. This process has served to successfully recruit the vast majority of companies in our Innovation Direct program, and we are confident this latest effort will yield similar results.

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives signed exclusive developmental licensing agreement for shower accessory from West Coast-based industry partner…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest update. Earlier Thursday, Licensing Direct™ received a signed exclusive developmental licensing agreement from our West Coast-based industry partner for the shower accessory from our roster that he has been displaying an advanced level of interest in. We had most recently reported on this situation in an October 30th posting (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1285).

As we’d explained in that entry, Licensing Direct™ had sent our industry colleague a copy of the product description from the patent and a copy of the graphics prepared by the draftsman as well, as per his request. This material supplemented the virtual reality presentation that our partner had already viewed.

With a firm plan to discuss the invention with a couple of the biggest direct response companies in industry, our partner felt it would be prudent to gain exclusivity on the invention, hence his willingess to sign the agreement. We are certainly hopeful that matters will continue positively in this direction and will alert you as to any developments, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Join us often!

Update: Licensing Direct™ sends follow-up e-mail to Evriholder Products regarding NDA, Innovation Direct™ package…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back in the saddle with an update on a situation we last reported on in an August 31st entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1225). Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of California-based Evriholder Products sent a follow-up e-mail to his contact at the firm regarding their long-overdue feedback on our non-disclosure agreement and the preliminary, non-confidential information he’d been sent on 10 product ideas from our roster back in late June.

As we’d explained in the aforementioned posting, the manufacturer had explained that he would not be able to determine whether or not he had further interest in any of the inventions in the batch based solely on the preliminary information. Consequently, our colleague had sent his contact a copy of our NDA in order to eventually be able to share detailed design information on the concepts but since that point, communication has ceased altogether.

Update: Licensing Direct™’s kitchen accessory may be close to licensing agreement with direct response company…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, here with some very positive news regarding a kitchen accessory from our roster. Earlier Tuesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative that manages the Innovation Direct™ account of our often-mentioned West Coast-based industry partner received word from him via e-mail that a major direct response company has taken an advanced level of interest in the invention. As per our industry partner, the manufacturer is strongly considering the possibility of entering into a licensing agreement in the near future.

Our industry partner also requested that we provide him with an updated photo of an enhanced prototype that the inventor has put together. That request was promptly complied with, and our partner now has all the necessary information to conduct extensive licensing negotiations with the interested party.
