Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a report to close out another great month. Earlier Friday, the Licensing Direct representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of our West Coast-based industry partner prepared and sent him excerpts from the patent application of a shower accessory that he recently had taken an advanced level of interest in, along with a copy of the product renderings from the patent draftsman and the clip of the invention’s virtual reality presentation.

As we’d explained in an October 23rd entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1280), our industry partner had selected the shower accessory from a trio of concepts we’d sent him in that general category at his request.

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on a situation we’d last reported about in a September 24th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1253). Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of International Home and Housewares Show exhibitor Full Circle Home received a signed exclusive developmental licensing agreement from his contact at the company for a cooking accessory from our roster that they’ve displayed an advanced level of interest in.

Accordingly, the inventor will be shipping Full Circle his fully functional, homemade prototype for their first-hand evaluation. The company had determined that having their engineers review the invention’s design and functionality personally would be essential in helping them determine whether they would want to continue with its attempted commercialization.

Update: Licensing Direct™ sets conference call between inventor of bedding accessory and Designer Factory Showroom, Inc….

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™ ’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with a follow up on a situation we last reported on in a September 1st entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1231). Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative that has been managing the long-standing interest displayed in a bedding accessory from our roster by Florida-based Designer Factory Showroom, Inc. successfully communicated with his contact at the firm, and arranged for a conference call to take place next Tuesday, November 3rd between the manufacturer, Licensing Direct™ , and the inventor.

As we’d explained in the aforementioned entry, we had been in advanced licensing discussions with this company when they were forced to relocate their entire operation at the end of the summer. We hope to be able to pick up the dialogue where we last left off and will certainly bring you an update on the outcome of the call once it transpires.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in once again with an update on a situation we’d just reported about yesterday (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1281). Earlier Tuesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Star Envirotech, Inc.  conducted a scheduled conference call between the inventor of an automotive accessory and the company representative in which questions that the manufacturer had about certain aspects of the product were discussed and answered.

By the conclusion of the call, all parties agreed that the inventor would ship the prototype to Star for first-hand evaluation, in order to allow them to do testing on a certain feature of the product that they must assure themselves will be infallible before proceeding any further.

Earlier Monday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Star Envirotech, Inc. coordinated a conference call between the inventor of an automotive accessory that they have an advanced level of interest in and the manufacturer. We had last reported on this company’s interest in the invention in an October 16th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1275).

The call was arranged so that the manufacturer could obtain further information on the invention’s functionality and to discuss the possible sending of the inventor’s prototype to Star for a first-hand evaluation. Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a Friday update. Earlier in the day, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of our West Coast-based industry partner prepared and sent him access to the detailed design information on 3 shower accessories from our roster. As we’ve explained in previous entries, a permanent version of our NDA that is on file executed between our industry partner and Licensing Direct™ allows us to send him access to all of the detailed information availabe on inventions right from the onset.

After reviewing the invention websites for the trio concepts, our industry partner informed our aforementioned colleague that one of the product ideas was the subject of his advanced level of interest. With the selected innovation also being the subject of a pending patent application and our industry partner requesting any additional information that might be available, our colleague will attempt to make arrangements early next week to get him a copy of the patent draftsman’s graphic illustration.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with our latest report. Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of our West Coast-based industry partner received a signed exclusive developmental licensing agreement for a consumer electronics accessory from him via e-mail executed by Interactive Group Ltd., a company he is scouting inventions on behalf of. We had last reported on this situation in an October 20th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1277).

As we’d explained in that posting, the company had requested virtual reality presentations for 2 consumer electronics inventions, and those had promptly been sent. After reviewing the material, Interactive made a decision they wanted to only move forward further with one of the concepts, as the second one was deemed to be outside of their current manufacturing and marketing capabilities.

The company will now continue its evaluation of the detailed product description and virtual presentation for the product idea they signed the agreement for, and will hopefully move towards making it a long-term fixture in their product line within the coming months. Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on a situation we’d last reported about in an October 15th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1273). Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the interest being shown in a plumbing accessory from our roster by Waxman Consumer Group received a copy of the fully executed confidentiality agreement for the company from the inventor.

As we’d explained in the aforementioned entry, having this document in hand clears the path for our company to be able to send access to detailed design information about the invention to the manufacturer. Earlier Wednesday, our Licensing Direct™ colleague did precisely that, sending his contact at Waxman access to the detailed invention website that exists for the concept.

Earlier Tuesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of our West Coast-based industry partner sent him the virtual reality presentations on the 2 consumer electronics items that a New Jersey-based company he does business with has taken an advanced level of interest in.

As we’d reported in the aforementioned entry, the company will likely be signing exclusive developmental licensing agreements for both of the product ideas in the near future. In the interim, the virtual reality presentations will be helpful in providing them with more information about the inventions and how they might fit with their existing product offerings and manufacturing capabilities.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with an update to kick off our week. Earlier Monday, the Licensing Direct™ representative that has managed the long-standing interest from an Arizona-based company in an automotive accessory from our roster attempted follow-up communication with his contact at the firm regarding their long overdue feedback on the prototype they’d received several months ago. We’d last reported on this company in an August 26th posting (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1202).

Both an e-mail and voice mail message were left by our aforementioned colleague, and we are certainly hopeful of finally receiving some sort of definitive answer on whether or not Leading Edge will proceed towards a long-term licensing agreement for the product idea.
