Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of California-based Star Envirotech, Inc. sent his contact at the firm detailed design information on 11 automotive-related inventions from our roster. As we’ve explained in previous entries, a permanent non-disclosure agreement between Licensing Direct™ and Star is on file, allowing us to send the company access to detailed design information on inventions right from the onset of them being pre-selected for their evaluation.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest report. Earlier Tuesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Ohio-based Fitness Quest, Inc. prepared and sent his contact at the firm preliminary, non-confidential information on 12 items from our roster. We had most recently reported on this company and their feedback concerning their latest Innovation Direct™ package in a July 9th posting (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1020).

As we’ve explained in previous entries, Fitness Quest, although certainly renowned for their exercise-related product lines, is also interested in a wide variety of household and consumer concepts. Accordingly, the batch of invention information today spanned multiple categories, including household, pets, hunting, and fitness items.

Earlier Monday afternoon, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of our West Coast-based industry partner prepared and sent the gentleman access to detailed design information on 2 fitness product ideas from our roster. This action was prompted by our industry colleague’s current dealings with a large infomercial company that is seeking these types of inventions for review.

Update: Licensing Direct™ speaks with inventor of kitchen accessory that is subject of exclusive developmental licensing agreement; document to be returned fully executed soon…

Good morning, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first report for a Friday. Earlier this morning, the Licensing Direct™ representative that manages the Innovation Direct™ account of New York-based Allstar Marketing Group, LLC spoke with the inventor of the kitchen accessory from our roster that is the subject of an exclusive developmental licensing agreement with the company. We had most recently reported on this situation in a September 23rd entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1245).

As we’d explained in that posting, the agreement had been e-mailed to the inventor that day and a voice mail message had been left for as well for a return call. Those communications were reciprocated today, when the inventor called our aforementioned colleague and went over the agreement with him in detail. The inventor understood and was amenable to all of the document’s terms, and will be returning it with her signature later in the day.

Update: Licensing Direct™ speaks with inventor of cooking accessory that is subject of advanced level of interest regarding Full Circle Home’s questions; requested information relayed to manufacturer…

Greetings once again, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back in once again with an update. Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of International Home and Housewares Show 2009 exhibitor Full Circle Home spoke with the inventor of the cooking accessory that the manufacturer retains an advanced level of interest in from the initial batch of concepts they reviewed. We had just reported on this developing situation in an entry yesterday (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1254).

As we’d explained in that posting, Full Circle had certain questions related to the functionality of the invention. In today’s conversation, our aforementioned colleague was able to obtain the needed information and also confirmed the inventor would be willing to ship his functional prototype the manufacturer if necessary. All of the information gleaned from the call was promptly relayed to the Full Circle representative, and we now await their response regarding their next course of action.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with an update on a situation we’d just reported about in a September 21st entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1248). Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Allstar Marketing Group, LLC sent e-mail and telephone communication to the inventor of the kitchen accessory that they have signed an exclusive developmental licensing agreement for.

The e-mail consisted of an explanation of the agreement, as well as an attachment of the document itself for the inventor’s signature. A telephone message was also left for the inventor requesting she call back our colleague to go over the terms of the agreement.

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives long-awaited feedback from Full Circle Home on 8 inventions; one item subject of further interest…

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest report. Early Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of New Jersey-based Full Circle Home received an e-mail from his contact at the firm containing long-awaited feedback on the detailed design information being reviewed by the company on 8 inventions from our roster. We had most recently reported on our follow-up efforts with Full Circle in an August 5th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1134).

As per the communication received, Full Circle retains a strong interest in one of the concepts from the batch, a cooking accessory. They have some specific questions about the proposed functionality of the item, questions that our colleague will be presenting to the inventor as soon as possible.

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives long-awaited response from International Home and Housewares Show 2009 exhibitor Forever Gifts, Inc. regarding initial Innovation Direct™ package…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with an update on a company we’d last reported about in an August 10th posting (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1156). Earlier Tuesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Texas-based Forever Gifts, Inc. received a long overdue response from his contact at the firm regarding the initial package of preliminary, non-confidential information on 5 product ideas he’d sent him on the date of the aforementioned entry.

As per the e-mail communication received Tuesday, the company contact and his business partner wanted more information on the amount of royalties Licensing Direct™ typically expected to secure for its clients, as well as what periods of exclusivity were available for the inventions before a final long-term decision was reached regarding them. Our colleague promptly replied to these questions via e-mail and is now awaiting further word from Forever Gifts, Inc. on which items from the batch were of further interest to them.

Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with an update on a situation we’d just reported about earlier in the day (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1247). Earlier Monday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Allstar Marketing Group, LLC received a signed exclusive developmental licensing agreement from his contact the firm for the kitchen accessory that the company has expressed an advanced level of interest in.

As we’d explained in the aforementioned entry, Allstar had nominated the kitchen concept to be a part of their next company Invention Committee meeting because of their continued interest after having viewed the detailed design information about it. Given their plans to continue to perform their due diligence on the item over the next several weeks, the exclusive developmental licensing agreement was proposed and e-mailed to the company contact earlier Monday.

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives feedback from Allstar Marketing Group, LLC regarding 2 inventions reviewed; one item still subject of interest, exclusive developmental licensing agreement proposed, sent…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in once more with an update on a situation reported on earlier Monday (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1246). Monday afternoon, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of New York-based Allstar Marketing Group, LLC received e-mail communication from his contact at the firm in which the representative explained that he would be including one of the two inventions they were currently reviewing, a kitchen accessory, in their next Invention Committee meeting several weeks from now.

The other item, a lawn and garden invention, was not the subject of any further interest from the manufacturer. With respect to the kitchen concept however, our aforementioned colleague did prepare and send an exclusive developmental licensing agreement to his contact at Allstar and requested that they execute the document given their advanced level of interest in the product idea.
