Update: Licensing Direct™ receives reply to follow-up e-mail from Evriholder Products; copy of permanent NDA sent for possible signature…
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back in with an update on a situation we’d just reported about in an entry earlier this afternoon (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1217). Monday afternoon, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of International Home and Housewares Show 2009 exhibitor Evriholder Products received a reply from his contact at the firm regarding the phone message he’d left him earlier in the day requesting feedback on the preliminary, non-confidential information on 10 inventions contained in their initial package.
In his reply, which came via e-mail, the Evriholder contact explained that he felt he needed more information than the preliminary, non-confidential material initially sent in order to make a decision on which concepts would be of further interest. In return, our colleague sent the Evriholder representative a copy of an NDA via e-mail, and reminded him that the document would need to be executed before any detailed design information on the product ideas was shared. Our colleague also suggested that a permanent version of the confidentiality agreement could be executed so as to streamline the invention information delivery process in the future.
