Late Thursday afternoon, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Telebrands, Inc. sent preliminary, non-confidential information on a kitchen accessory to his contact to officially initiate the infomercial giant’s involvement in the program.

Update: Licensing Direct™ sends follow-up e-mail to International Home and Housewares Show 2009 lead Full Circle Home regarding initial Innovation Direct™ package…

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back once more with an update. Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of New Jersey-based Full Circle Home sent a follow-up  e-mail to his contact at the company regarding correspondence he’d sent him earlier this month. We’d last reported on this company in a May 13th posting (“Update: Licensing Direct™ receives communication from Innovation Direct™ company Full Circle Home; requested information already provided…“).

As we’d explained in that entry, Full Circle had been sent preliminary, non-confidential information on 12 inventions in their initial Innovation Direct™ package. In response to two follow-up e-mails that our aforementioned colleague had sent him, the company representative had responded by requesting that our royalty and licensing policies be defined. As explained in that May 13th entry, our colleague had complied with that request promptly but as of this date, had yet to hear back from the manufacturer.

Licensing Direct™ sends follow-up e-mails to 3 companies met personally at National Hardware Show 2009; response from Telebrands already received…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back once more with a National Hardware Show 2009-related update. Earlier Wednesday, Licensing Direct™ sent follow-up e-mails to 3 of the companies met at the National Hardware Show 2009 by our trade show representatives and by mid-afternoon, had already received one response.

That reply came from infomercial giant Telebrands, Inc., who expressed immediate interest in reviewing concepts from our roster. We had reported on our trade show representative’s meeting with Telebrands representatives in a May 7th entry from the show (“Licensing Direct™ meets with 2 infomercial giants as National Hardware Show 2009 comes to a close…“). As per further e-mails that were exchanged on the afternoon, the manufacturer prefers to review only one invention at a time, and is somewhat selective when it comes to signing non-disclosure agreements. Therefore, it was agreed by both parties that the process would be initiated with our company sending Telebrands preliminary, non-confidential information on the first product idea by day’s end.

Stay tuned to the Licensing Direct™ Blog for all future updates regarding this company!

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives signed non-disclosure agreement for 5 inventions from Northern Response International Limited; issue taken with modification from manufacturer, matter pending…

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with an update on Canadian infomerical giant Northern Response International Limited. Earlier Wednesday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the company’s Innovation Direct™ account received the signed non-disclosure agreement for the 5 inventions that they had selected from their first Innovation Direct™ package as being of further interest. We had most recently reported on this company in a May 21st posting (“Update: Licensing Direct™ sends follow-up e-mail to Northern Response International Limited regarding pending NDA; document expected to be returned early next week…“).

However, a modification apparently made by Northern Response’s legal department will temporarily put a halt to our usual process of being able to disseminate access to the detailed design information on the product ideas encompassed by the NDA. A clause that is significantly important to the confidentiality agreement had been struck altogether by the company, an action that our aforementioned colleague countered by rewording the clause to eliminate some of the concerns the company had about it and resending it.

Our colleague’s contact at Northern Response shortly therafter by letting him know that he was passing along the information to his legal department, from which he expected an answer shortly. Naturally, we will continue to provide any and all updates regarding this situation, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Check in often!

Accordingly, our aforementioned colleague has already executed a version of Fitness Quest’s non-disclosure agreement for each of the concepts and has faxed them back to the company contact for their signature. Update: Licensing Direct™ receives response to Innovation Direct™ e-mail campaign from National Hardware Show 2009 exhibitor contacted Friday; further communication expected soon…

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in one final time regarding a busy Tuesday. Over the holiday weekend, we received our first response to our Innovation Direct™ post-National Hardware Show 2009 e-mail campaign conducted this past Friday. The brief e-mail correspondence was sent by a member of the company’s customer service department, who also provided the name and contact information for one of the firm’s principals for the purpose of further dialogue. Accordingly, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the manufacturer’s response sent an e-mail reply to both the customer service representative and the executive that was referenced, thanking them for their interest and informing them that we would welcome further communication from them regarding our Innovation Direct™ program.
