Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with the information regarding the next industry-leading trade show event on our 2010 itinerary. We are pleased to report that Licensing Direct™ will attend the 2010 edition of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, taking place April 16th-18th at the McCormick Place in Chicago. This year will mark Licensing Direct™’s return to the event after an absence of several years, and we expect that the show will be better than ever!

As per their official website, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show is the world’s largest international trade show event dedicated to the kitchen and bath industry.  The show features over 1,000 exhibitors in various segments of the kitchen and bath categories, and is widely attended by architects, re-modelers, kitchen and bath retailers and distributors, and plumbing wholesalers and retailers, among others. Professionals flock to this event for a variety of educational conferences in addition to the 3 days of networking and opportunity available on the exhibit floor.

Licensing Direct™ set to make annual stop at International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago on March 14th-16th…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a report on the next stop on our trade show itinerary. Licensing Direct™ is pleased to announce that we will be participants in the 2010 edition of the International Home and Housewares Show at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. This terrific event has long been a very successful staple of our event calendar, and has yielded several valuable manufacturing leads over the years.

As per their official website, the Housewares Show estimates that this year’s proceedings will attract over 60,000 attendees and over 2,000 exhibitors. In addition, over 6,000 international buyers from 100 countries on 6 continents are  expected. As customary, the show will be divided into 4 major categories: Clean and Contain, Dine and Design, Wired and Well, and an international pavilion entitled Global Crossroads.

This event has long been a particularly beneficial one for inventions in the household, lawn and garden, cleaning, pet, and even automotive and hardware industries, due to the considerable diversity of exhibitors, and we expect this year to be the most successful yet. Update: Licensing Direct™ receives feedback from Trillium Worldwide, Inc. regarding 10 invention Innovation Direct™ package…

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on a situation we’d reported on in a February 11th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1405). Late Monday evening, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of AAPEX Show 2009 exhibitor Trillium Worldwide received an e-mail reply from his contact at the firm regarding the feedback he’d requested on the preliminary, non-confidential information our colleague had recently sent him on 10 inventions from our roster.

As per the communication received Monday evening, the company will not go any further with the 10 inventions. Accordingly, we will continue our quest for licensing success on behalf of those product ideas through other potential licensees and will also soon begin work on Trillium’s next Innovation Direct™ package.

Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of 2009 International Home and  Housewares Show exhibitor Full Circle Home sent an e-mail to his contact at the firm requesting his feedback on the detailed design information on 3 inventions from their latest package that they’d signed a non-disclosure agreement for.

With over 2 weeks having passed since the access had been granted, our aforementioned colleague felt it would be prudent to attempt to solicit an update. We look forward to continuing to provide you the latest on this situation, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Check in often!

Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of AAPEX Show 2009 exhibitor Trillium Worldwide sent his contact at the firm an e-mail requesting his feedback on the preliminary, non-confidential information for 10 inventions from our roster that he’d sent him on January 28th (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1363).

Hello, Juan C. Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of New Jersey-based Tristar Products, Inc. sent an e-mail to his contact at the firm requesting his feedback on the package of preliminary, non-confidential information on 10 inventions he’d re-sent him at his request.

With a week having passed since the materials were e-mailed, our colleague felt it would be prudent to attempt to obtain an update and by doing so, try to avoid the long delay that occurred in reestablishing communication after the information was first sent. We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and will keep you abreast of any response we receive from Tristar, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Check in frequently!

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, here once again with another update regarding our follow-up efforts with SHOT Show 2010 exhibitors. Earlier Thursday, Licensing Direct™ representatives prepared and sent promotional correspondence touting the benefits of our Innovation Direct™ service to 8 additional participants from this year’s proceedings.

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives prompt feedback from Allstar Marketing Group, LLC regarding 10 invention Innovation Direct™ package…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on another matter that we’d just initially reported about yesterday (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1395). Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of direct response powerhouse Allstar Marketing Group, LLC received feedback from his contact at the firm regarding the preliminary, non-confidential information he’d sent him yesterday on 10 inventions from our roster.

As per the e-mail received, Allstar will not go forward with any of the concepts in the batch but as always, is looking forward to reviewing additional material from our roster. Accordingly, we will continue our quest for licensing success on behalf of the product ideas turned down today and will also begin preparations on a new group of innovations for Allstar’s review in the near future.

Good morning, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first update of the day. Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Fitness Quest, Inc. received a reply from the inventor of an exercise accessory from our roster regarding some questions about the product’s functionality that the company had posed. We’d reported on this development in an entry just yesterday (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1398).

The inventor did address the inquiries the manufacturer had posed and the information he provided has already been passed along via e-mail to the Fitness Quest representative. We now await his feedback and will certainly provide you the details of the response we receive, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Check back with us frequently!

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives questions from Fitness Quest about functionality of exercise accessory under review; e-mail sent to inventor…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on a situation we’d just reported about earlier Wednesday (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1393). Late Wednesday afternoon, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of Fitness Quest received a reply from his contact at the firm regarding the access to the detailed information on an exercise accessory our colleague had re-sent earlier in the day at the manufacturer’s request.

In his communication, the Fitness Quest representative posed a couple of different specific questions about the functionality of the invention. Accordingly, these inquiries were passed along to the inventor for his feedback on the matter. We are encouraged by the fact that the company does seem to be giving the concept a fairly thorough evaluation.
