Update: Licensing Direct™ receives feedback from Trillium Worldwide, Inc. regarding 10 invention Innovation Direct™ package…

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on a situation we’d reported on in a February 11th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1405). Late Monday evening, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of AAPEX Show 2009 exhibitor Trillium Worldwide received an e-mail reply from his contact at the firm regarding the feedback he’d requested on the preliminary, non-confidential information our colleague had recently sent him on 10 inventions from our roster.

As per the communication received Monday evening, the company will not go any further with the 10 inventions. Accordingly, we will continue our quest for licensing success on behalf of those product ideas through other potential licensees and will also soon begin work on Trillium’s next Innovation Direct™ package.

Update: Licensing Direct™ receives report from inventor of pet accessory regarding Cambridge Metal and Plastics…

Good morning, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back in with an update to begin our week. Earlier Monday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the interest displayed by Minnesota-based Cambridge Metal and Plastics in a pet product from our roster received an e-mail update from the inventor regarding the outcome of the company’s review of the detailed design information about the concept. We’d reported on our most recent attempt to follow up with Cambridge directly in a posting this past Friday (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1414).

As per the communication received from the inventor, she had received an e-mail from the manufacturer representative some time ago letting her know that while he liked the invention overall, the company had opted not to move any further with it. Accordingly, we will continue our quest for licensing success on behalf of this concept through other potential licensees.

Update: Licensing Direct™ sends second follow-up e-mail to Cambridge Metal and Plastics regarding detailed information provided on pet accessory…

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with another report. Earlier Friday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the interest in a pet accessory from our roster displayed by Minnesota-based Cambridge Metal and Plastics sent a follow-up e-mail to his contact at the firm regarding their pending feedback on the detailed design information they’d been provided about the invention in January. We’d reported on our initial attempt to follow up with Cambridge regarding this product idea in a January 26th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1362).

As we’d explained previously, the manufacturer had signed a non-disclosure agreement for the concept after having initially been contacted about it by the inventor. With several weeks having passed since the access to the detailed materials were first sent, and over 2 weeks having passed since our first follow-up effort, our aforementioned colleague felt it would be prudent to reach out again at this point.

Update: Licensing Direct™ sends follow-up e-mail to Schutt Sports regarding pending return of non-disclosure agreement…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with a Friday update. Earlier Friday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the initial interest displayed by Illinois-based Schutt Sports in a football training accessory from our roster sent a follow-up e-mail to his contact at the firm requesting an update on whether or not the company planned on returning the non-disclosure agreement they’d been sent for the invention. We’d initially reported on this situation in a January 14th entry (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1412).

We are certainly hopeful that Schutt will return the confidentiality agreement so that detailed design information can be provided to them, but only time will tell. Check in with us often on the Licensing Direct™ Blog for any and all future updates regarding this situation!

Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of 2009 International Home and  Housewares Show exhibitor Full Circle Home sent an e-mail to his contact at the firm requesting his feedback on the detailed design information on 3 inventions from their latest package that they’d signed a non-disclosure agreement for.

With over 2 weeks having passed since the access had been granted, our aforementioned colleague felt it would be prudent to attempt to solicit an update. We look forward to continuing to provide you the latest on this situation, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Check in often!

Update: Licensing Direct™ prepares, sends 10 invention Innovation Direct™ package to ERA member company Gaiam Direct Response…

Greetings once again, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back with yet another Innovation Direct™-related update regarding what has been quite a busy Thursday. Late Thursday afternoon, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing  the Innovation Direct™ account of ERA member company Gaiam Direct Response prepared and sent his contact at the firm preliminary, non-confidential information on 10 inventions from our roster. Gaiam Direct Response had been one of two companies that responded to an Innovation Direct™ e-mail campaign on February 9th (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1390).

As per the company’s stated preferences, today’s batch consisted of a cross-section of household, personal care, and fitness items. We look forward to receiving prompt response from Gaiam and will provide all the details when we do, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Check back in frequently to be kept abreast of the latest!

Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of New Jersey-based Tristar Products, Inc. sent an e-mail to his contact at the firm requesting his feedback on the package of preliminary, non-confidential information on 10 inventions he’d re-sent him at his request.

With a week having passed since the materials were e-mailed, our colleague felt it would be prudent to attempt to obtain an update and by doing so, try to avoid the long delay that occurred in reestablishing communication after the information was first sent. Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of North Carolina-based Capital Consultants, LLC received the signed non-disclosure agreement for 4 inventions that the company had been re-sent yesterday at their request (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1394).

With the signed guarantee of confidentiality in hand, our aforementioned colleague sent his contact at the firm access to all of the detailed design information available for the concepts. We now await what we hope will be positive feedback from Capital Consultants and will certainly update you on any developments as they transpire, here on the Licensing Direct™ Blog. Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on another matter that we’d just initially reported about yesterday (http://licensingdirect.com/blog/?p=1395). Earlier Thursday, the Licensing Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of direct response powerhouse Allstar Marketing Group, LLC received feedback from his contact at the firm regarding the preliminary, non-confidential information he’d sent him yesterday on 10 inventions from our roster.

As per the e-mail received, Allstar will not go forward with any of the concepts in the batch but as always, is looking forward to reviewing additional material from our roster. Accordingly, we will continue our quest for licensing success on behalf of the product ideas turned down today and will also begin preparations on a new group of innovations for Allstar’s review in the near future.
